Sandra Bullock is an actress who is excellent for romantic comedies. She manages to look romantic and funny at the same time, which makes her look quite cute in some of her movies. Her movies also somehow convey a serious feel to it by addressing issues that we face in everyday life.

Miss Congeniality
Sandra Bullock acts as an FBI agent who goes as a participant for the Miss United States beauty pageant. She works undercover to prevent a group from bombing the event.
She definitely makes a ‘few great messes’, while creating the romantic atmosphere of the movie by the underlying romance with a FBI agent she works with. Also she goes from being an ‘unattractive FBI agent’ to a beautiful contestant!
The more serious message conveyed through this movie is the way in which events like this can be threatened and the security which is needed to make such pageants run smoothly – although not to the extent that a contestant has to work undercover – I hope.

The story is set around Christmas time – a time which always tends to portray romance!
A ticket collecting romantic girl, who is acted very well by Sandra Bullock, is in love with a man to whom she sells a train ticket everyday…but to whom she has never spoken!
She is in an uncomfortable situation, when she saves him form being hit by a train and then has to pretend to be his girlfriend.
Added to this she falls in love with his brother, who is also in love with her and is somehow convinced that she is not his brother’s girlfriend.
This is the actual romance in the story. As the title suggests, the brother she is supposedly engaged to is ‘sleeping’ for the most part of the movie.
All this confusion with the two brothers…
But the serious note to this movie is the value of family and the lengths to which someone would go so as not to be lonely, especially at a time like Christmas

This is Sandra Bullock’s latest movie. It definitely is a romance and I am yet to watch it. But I have heard it is really good. So…..stay tuned for a full review!
